With nearly seven years of marketing, managing and creative experience, I have learned what it takes to become fully successful. By operating a small company, I have been able to participate in many aspects of business and management, learned effective ways to optimize an organization during a recession and ultimately increase profits while the competition was in decline. I was able to develop ideas and see them through from start to finish. As a result of my successes in small business, I was recruited to develop a revolutionary product in disease eradication. In this unique situation I worked at obtaining large-scale goals and objectives. Traveling throughout the United States, meeting with some of the most respected personnel in business and government, I enhanced my skills as a young professional in a corporate environment, building long-term relationships, strategic partners and closing deals. My unique involvements in small business at the local level and the development of a large scale, start up organization give me a well rounded incite to business.

Project Manager, Business Development

As New Mountains Field Arm Project Manager I oversaw the development of the company’s flagship product. I worked closely with the president and engineering  as well as contracted companies that assisted in development. I monitored the project from inception to debut and beyond. Accomplishments:

  • Successfully launched strategic marketing plans targeting global organizations, governments, and commercial businesses. Advocated a change in business direction, focusing on “disease eradication.”
  • Executed numerous trade shows and demonstrations throughout United States, China, India, and Singapore. Created interactive trade show booths and designed all marketing materials including press releases, artwork, stationary, videos and advertising including ads featured in Weatherwise magazine.
  • Identified the need for an operations management overhaul, contributed in organizing the manufacturing process, produced a B.O.M. and implemented a database of all clients, vendors, distributors, and media contacts.
  • Assisted in organizational development, hiring  of technical personnel and board of director’s formation.
  • Created presentations for venture and angel investment groups. Gave scientific presentations at trade conferences including AMCA (American Mosquito Control Association) an internationally attended trade show, speaking in front of hundreds.
  • Experience working with W.H.O. Department of Defense, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard, FPED (force protection equipment demonstration), Federal and State government, AMCA, Drexel University, University of Louisiana and University of Connecticut.

Colonial Carwash and Detail

2007-2014

General Manager

As Colonial Carwash’s general manager I led all business operations. I developed a rigid management structure that allowed turn key operation. I was able to reduce volatility and increase revenues while the competition was in decline, allowing the purchase of a second location. I had full fiscal responsibility including allocation, reporting, and forecasting for revenues close to one million dollars. Accomplishments:

  • Led a diverse team of more than twenty employees including two site managers. Motivated employees to be proud of their job, held team building social events, created synergy, enabling more efficiency on capacity days.
  • Partnered with state government securing a contract to maintain fleet vehicles in conjunction with a program that offered employment to individuals from broken or unstable homes.
  • Built a detailed employee training program, focused on safety, product knowledge and sales techniques. This included an intricate employee bonus program, increasing dollars per vehicle sales by 35% in its first 6 months.
  • Developed a custom point of sale system, providing detailed tracking of sales and fleet operations. Eliminating employee shrinkage.
  • Established extensive marketing and advertising strategies, highlights included an aggressive online campaign, optimized customer feedback, a customer loyalty program which enabled the collection of customer demographics as well as tracking of their tendencies and behaviors and an unlimited wash program, increasing yearly sales by more than $20,000.
  • Used collected market research data combined with external environmental factors to better anticipate slow periods, resulting in reduced labor costs by as much as $35,000 per year with out sacrificing customer satisfaction.
  • Designed all artwork developing a brand identity.
  • Generated a maintenance plan and schedule to keep a “like new” condition for all facilities and equipment, including, but not limited to, air systems, high-pressure pumps, plumbing, hydraulic systems, landscaping, and steel fabrication, most items repaired in house.
